Lord our God,

through your loving favour

you revealed to blessed Mechtilde, your virgin,

the hidden secrets of your providence.

May we who know you now through faith

rejoice hereafter to see you face to face.

Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,

who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever.

and to defend and uphold the truth of the faith.

May we always live that truth in love
